Enhance any outdoor area with a total height of 19-1/2 inches; the Gard-N-Post lighting fixture support is ideal for illuminating pathways, backyards, gardens, or anywhere you need some extra light and/or an additional GFCI outlet or low-voltage connection (telephone, security, entertainment). The sloped base makes it simple to access underground cables. Choose one of Arlington’s Gard-N-Post lighting fixtures (sold separately), or connect any outdoor lighting fixture (up to 25 pounds) using 1/2 or 3/4 inch NPT threads. The post comes with an installed NPT metal reducing nut. Dual openings for back-to-back power The Arlington Gard-N-Post features openings on both sides for setting up power back-to-back. For added convenience, a low-voltage separation is included, allowing you to install both a high and a low-voltage outlet on either side of a post. The post also includes a locking nut with a copper grounding wire for fixture installation, two blank device plates with gaskets and screws, and a removable KO plate. Sturdy, long-lasting construction The Gard-N-Post provides firm support right out of the box with four built-in stabilizers and a robust plastic construction. Thanks to the molded color, the finish will not peel or fade over time, enhancing the post's longevity. The post comes with a plug for the top hole for aesthetics and protection when no lighting fixture is installed. Measurements The Gard-N-Post, including stabilizers, measures a total of 19-1/2 inches tall and 8 inches wide and deep (H X W X D). The post itself measures just under 3-1/2 inches square and is 19-1/2 inches high. The finished height from ground level (up) varies depending on how deep the post is buried, and it can be buried up to 1 inch below the access panel.
