Our Poplar design in antique brass offers a unique take on the traditional Victorian beehive knob.
We've refined the design with a flatter knob and a low-profile 'screwless' rose (the screws are hidden inside). This knob is perfect for period homes with a modern twist or new residences looking to incorporate a classic touch.
This version of the Poplar is unthreaded, which allows it to be used with an existing spring-loaded bolt. To ensure ease of turning, we recommend utilizing a lightweight spring-loaded bolt.
There's also no concern of the knob slipping from your grasp – the spindle is threaded onto the handle to secure it firmly in place.
Antique brass is referred to as a 'living' finish because it reacts to the surrounding air and humidity, causing it to darken (especially in the areas that are touched most frequently). We've provided it with an aging treatment by hand, giving it an antique appearance straight out of the box.
