Steps for a DIY lighting project
1. Measure the width of the strip (ensure it fits within the channel dimensions) and do a test.
2. Cut the channel and cover to the desired length using a saw or other suitable tool.
3. Remove the protective paper from the back of the strip, and place the strip in the channel.
4. Insert the diffuser into the grooves of the V-channel, and attach the end caps if necessary.
5. Screw the mounting clips to the surface (make sure the pilot hole is aligned properly), and hold the channel firmly in the clips.
6. Ensure the channel is level from end to end and secure the clips in the middle of the channel for extra support.
7. Wiring
The strip can be assembled after the channel is installed or out of the work area.
