This horseshoes set is suitable for indoor and outdoor play! It’s perfect for the beach, BBQs, camping trips, backyards, parties, and more! Enjoy the horseshoes game anywhere!
RULES OF THE GAME
- Toss a coin to determine who goes first.
- A tournament typically consists of 40-50 points, while a standard game is played to 21 points.
- Each player throws two horseshoes per round, followed by their opponent. Stay clear of the stakes and do not retrieve tossed horseshoes until both players have completed their throws.
- Scoring commences after all players have completed their throws.
- Players receive one point for any horseshoe (any part) that is within 6 inches of the stake. This rule also applies to a "leaner," which occurs when a horseshoe rests upright against the stake.
- If a player’s both horseshoes are nearer to the stake than their opponent's, that player earns two points.
- A "ringer" is awarded three points when a horseshoe entirely encircles the stake. A straight edge should be able to touch both ends of the horseshoe.
- If a player scores a ringer while their other shoe is closer to the stake than their opponent's, they receive a total of four points. In the event of a tie, two additional rounds will determine the winner.
