Crafted from red clay sourced from Tokoname, this Rynx features a long handle and has achieved its distinctive black color through a reduction firing process, using a special "oil pit" technique known as yuteki.
Each Rynx is one-of-a-kind, undergoing five successive firings: one to establish the original red hue, another to set the hand-painted flower, a third for the oil spot glaze, followed by a firing for the transformation to black (reduction firing), and finally, one for applying pure molten gold to the lid's knob.
